Weight Watchers has a few different types of memberships. Members can attend local, group meetings, use an online suppport system with resources, or combine the both. They also have a program for men. Weight Watchers assigns foods a point value based upon the food's protein, carbohydrates, fat, and fiber. Members are supposed to stay within their daily point value to lose or maintain their weight. While Weight Watchers sells snacks and foods, these are not required. Members purchase food as they normally would (grocery store, restaurant, etc.) and determine point values.
Jenny Craig
Jenny Craig also has different types of memberships. Members can visit a local Jenny Craig office/store and speak to a consultant personally, use the online support system/resources, or speak to a consultant over the phone. Members must purchase Jenny Craig food in addition to the membership fees. Jenny Craig has breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snack options. Members provider their own fruits and vegetables. While this helps with initial weight loss and portion control, the ultimate goal is for members to eventually plan their own meals.
Nutrisystem
Nutrisystem offers men's, women's, diabetic meal plans. Customers can hand pick their menu options of choose a pre-selected menu. Food is delivered to the customer's home. Users eat the Nutrisystem menu and supplement it with fresh vegetables, fruit, and protein shakes. Exercise is recommended along with following the Nutrisystem menu. The Nutrisystem website also has resources for tracking weight loss, connecting with other members, and accessing information and advice from nutrition experts. There are discounts for enrolling in auto delivery.
Slim Fast 321 Plan
The Slim Fast 321 Plan involves incorporating Slim Fast products into a healthy diet to lose weight. Customers select three healthy snacks to enjoy throughout the day. Snacks may be one of the Slim Fast 100 calorie snack options, fruit, vegetables, or nuts. Next, users replace two meals with either a Slim Fast shake or meal bar. Finally, users eat a 500 calorie, healthy meal for one of their meals. The Slim Fast website offers recipes for balanced 500 calorie meals. Also available are weight loss and activity tracking tools, personalized meal plans, and tools to connect with other users.
